Problemet med dette atheros-kort er løst i denne tråd https://ubuntudanmark.dk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=30162
der angives forskellige metoder - prøv først den simpleste: at installere backports.

Du kan gøre det ved at åbne System > Administration > Softwarekilder og på fanebladet 'Opdateringer' at markere 'Ikke-understøttede opdateringer (backports)' - lukke og opdatere.

Du prøver stadig at kompilere en driver, så vidt jeg kan se. Prøv nu lige først at gøre som jeg foreslog: installer backports og opdater, og genstart så.

Hvis ikke det får det virke, så prøv det andet forslag i tråden om atheros-kortet.

madwifi var det fedeste i 8.04, men fra 8.10 blew networkmanageren i ubuntu skiftet, og derefter har madwifi ikke virket i ubuntu (eller i bedste fald virket rigtig skidt). og så hudt jeg visker virker madwifi slety ikke i 64bit

som der skrives så er backports vejen frem

Og prøver du at fjerne backports?
Meningen var at du skulle installere backports i den udgave som passer til din ubuntu-distro.

Så: Hvorfor prøver du ikke at gøre som jeg har foreslået dig?

Du kan gøre det ved at åbne System > Administration > Softwarekilder og på fanebladet 'Opdateringer' at markere 'Ikke-understøttede opdateringer (backports)' - lukke og opdatere.

Det er det jeg mener: når du kører 9.10 skal du ikke begynde at gøre noget med pakker, der hedder intrepid.

Og du har haft kablet forbindelse og tilføjet backports? Og genstartet?

Det er nogle gange godt nok svær at give support til. Og bemærk venligst, at jeg ikke siger at du er dårligere end andre, blot at du er ekstremt lidt meddelsom, hvilket betyder at man skal gætte helt vildt eller stille en masse tillægsspørgsmål. Det er jo ikke til at vide om der er flere forslag end dem du har prøvet, når man ikke ved hvad du har prøvet.
