Jeg har haft problemer med at få mit vga out put til at virke ordenligt. eller det vil sige at jeg har fået virke, med ved at ændre skærm indstillingerne. Men jeg her flere gange været nød til at geninstallere ubuntu. Fordi jeg ikke længere kunne vælge den rigtige opløsning på bærbar skærmen, eller fordi jeg ikke længere kunne afspille film i ubuntu.

Derfor Findes der et program i stil med præsentations styringen i windows eller nogle koder til terminalen til at styre vga outputet?

Det er jo det grafikkort jeg har på min Asus Eee 1002HA!

Det eneste jeg ved om det grafikkort er at du helst ikke skal (læs: må ikke) køre 3D grafik, da det grafikkort ikke har hardware for 3D grafik - det har kun 2D grafik hardware.

Det indebører at Compiz Fusion ikke må være installeret.

Ud over det virker grafikkortet (samt alt andet hardware) ud af boksen - nok mest på grund af den speciel-tilpassede Linux kerne til Eee computere fra array.org

Installing the actualized 2D driver should, however, be accompanied by the stable Intel 2.7.1 driver that you can get from an external Personal Package Archive (PPA). The source package is xserver-xorg-video-intel. Careful, though: playing with Xorg can have adverse side effects, so backing up the original files might be a good idea.

Det er testet med Jaunty Netbook Remix - og der får den hedeslag - så jeg brugte bare den erfaring.

Du har muligvis ret, altså at Eee 1002HA ikke spiller godt med standardkonfigurationen efter install af Jaunty NBR.
I alle tilfælde kan jeg konstatere at Eeebuntu (i den mest skrabede udgave) med kernen fra array.org meget bedre end Jaunty NBR.

Er løsningen så at ikke køre 3D og blive ved med at bruge skærmindstillingerne når jeg skal lave en præsentation eller se en film på fjernsynet. eller hvad.

Jeg har oplevet at sker "sjove" ting når man kører i 3D og kører en video samtidig.

Bruger du Compiz Fusion kan du skifte fra 3D til 2D ved at skifte til noget der hedder metacity, som er en Window Manager til GTK2.
Du skal installere en pakke som hedder noget i retning Compiz Icon (kan ikke huske det helt rigtige navn på pakken - prøv at søge i Synaptic fra System > Administration menuen).
Compiz Icon installerer en knap til højre i øverste menupanel. Herfra styrer du hvilken Window Manager der skal bruges (meta city eller compiz fusion).

Jeg prøvede at installere Compiz, og på trods af det kan jeg igen ikke afspille video
Afspilningsprogrammet prøver at starte filmen og der efter lukker det ned. Er der nogle som her et bud på at fixe det, ellers lugter det lidt af reinstallation.
