og hvor kommer de stavefejl så fra?

men desværre:

sudo: gedit: command not found
måske fordi jeg kører Kubuntu

men jeg fandt en anden editeringsmulighed, så nu er det rettet
og hvad gør jeg så?
jeg prøver
sudo dpkg --configure -a

Hvad er det for repositories?

Repositories ved jeg ikke hvad er, men systemet er i gang med at opdatere.
Så det virkede - mange tak for hjælpen.

Men hvem i alverden er det der har stavet hardy med t, der må da være mange andre der har samme problem?
