Hmm nu synger det på sidste vers, mht Ubuntu til mig... Har snart prøvet alle de fif jeg har kunne støve op vedr (næsten) samme problem(er) i tråde både her og ubuntuforums.org. Jeg har geninstalleret i alle variationer dualboot/ren ubuntu, wubi, 32bit og 64 bit.

Er der virkelig ikke nogen der flere gode løsningsforslag?

Absolut sidste mulighed er at tjekke al din hardware for om de er understøttet af Linux (læs hardware producent har gidet lave en Linux driver).

Dit wlan kort er et Atheros AR5008 (ath5k), og du skal derfor bruge den driver istedet for madwifi for at få wlan til at virke (Ubuntu 8.10 release notes).

Wubi lægger dine "harddiske", som filer i Windows' NTFS filsystem. Virker NTFS ikke, virker Wubi heller ikke..
